We’ve had some exciting changes done to Blakeney Methodist Chapel which have improved our worship space and facilities enormously. As a place of worship since 1812, this lovely chapel still holds Sunday services, weekly prayer groups and the acclaimed ‘Café TMC’, a welcoming seasonal café, enjoyed by local, national and international visitors. When the work we being carried out we discovered there were some deeper problems in the newer building affectionately called ‘The School Room’.
In a nutshell, the timbers are rotten, the damp has seeped into the walls and the whole roof needs replacing. This is a matter of urgency for us and we are embarking on a fundraising plan. The project is supported by the Central Norfolk Circuit, of which Blakeney Chapel belongs to, but we are also hoping that we will be supported locally as well. The cost of the new roof is £35,000.
So! If you would like to help us, why don’t you ‘Buy a tile!’ For the price of £5 you can ‘Buy a tile’ and help repair our roof. We are grateful for any donation small or large and more importantly for your support of the Chapel.
Any donations can be sent to Lilian Timms, 9 Morston Road, Blakeney; cheques made payable to “Blakeney Methodist Church” for online payments, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
Thank you for your help and support
